Curriculum Overview for Year 1 2020 - 21

We have a creative and fun-loving team to support the children as they transition from the Early Years curriculum to Key Stage 1. The children are engaged with their learning through a creative curriculum, providing them with opportunities to extend their learning and deepen their understanding through guided and independent work.

We have separate 'Read Write Inc' phonic sessions that are run daily and the sounds learnt are then embedded through our English lessons.

We also have a daily Maths Meeting (in addition to our maths lessons) that is used to practise and consolidate the tricky topic areas.
