Our Philosophy – Why Inclusion Matters at Moor Park
‘Together as a Family, we Grow and Achieve.’
At Moor Park Primary School, we have a shared belief. Every adult in the building believes that every child can succeed. Together, our Moor Park family work to ensure every child finds success. We model and reinforce this culture daily through our Moor Park Characteristics, our assemblies, our curriculum drivers and goals, our staff meetings, community events and through our school slogan ‘Together as a Family, we Grow and Achieve.’
We embrace diversity and inclusion at Moor Park with our staff, pupils, parents and carers, celebrating our amazing community. Through community events such as our summer fair, coffee and carols and East Bake off, everyone is welcome here at Moor Park. Visitors comment on the ‘warm and friendly’ environment in school and our external partners enjoy working with us.
Quality First Teaching
High quality, inclusive teaching every day in every classroom is our aim. At Moor Park, our Teacher Toolkit provides a shared understanding of what great teaching looks like
Our Pastoral Team
At Moor Park we have an established pastoral team that works with our pupils and families to identify barriers to learning and support high quality teaching every day.

Attendance and Punctuality – It is Everyone’s Responsibility!
All children are entitled to high quality teaching and learning, however, we know that if children are not in school, they miss out! Strong school attendance underpins everything we do. Attendance is everyone’s responsibility, from the front office to class teachers to our safeguarding teams, every child has a right to education. With our joined-up approach to attendance and punctuality in school and the Trust, we have seen our attendance improve.
We have a School Home Support Worker, Mrs Done who works to support families who may have barriers to attendance and punctuality.
Family Support Worker
We host a weekly food bank and family sessions with Mrs Quinn, our Family Support Worker where families can access a pre-loved uniform rail, signposting to services such as health, housing or financial support. Her door is always open for families.
Learning Mentor
Mr. Kellet works with individuals and groups to ensure children are ready to access learning in the classroom. He also runs many sports clubs, including our Girl’s football Team after school.
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health and Wellbeing is a high priority for our Moor Park family. We know that emotionally intelligent leadership is crucial to enabling the school to grow and achieve as a family. We encourage innovation and risk-taking within a supportive staff team.
We know that teachers who love to teach will have children who love to learn.
